Our path to bringing the real maritime economy on-chain, from the BNB Smart Chain testnet launch of the SHIPEX loyalty program to global maritime participation for everyday members and institutions alike. This roadmap is a living document. Milestones marked complete are already live on testnet; everything ahead is a planned direction, not a promise, and forward-looking items may change as the program, the market, and the regulatory landscape evolve.
Each phase below has:
A note on wording used throughout: $SHIPEX is a utility token used only to access the loyalty program and its benefits. It is not an investment, a security, or a financial product, and it grants no ownership or financial rights. Program rewards are variable and never guaranteed.
Every phase references the same on-chain foundation, so it is worth stating the ground truth once.
| Element | Current value | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Network (now) | BNB Smart Chain testnet (chain id 97) | Env-driven, promotable to mainnet (chain id 56) by a single env flip |
| $SHIPEX token | 2 decimals, total supply 1,200,000 | Deployed on BNB Smart Chain testnet |
| Loyalty program contract | ShipexStakingV2 | Non-custodial, reserve-funded |
| Reward reserve (designed) | 200,000 SHIPEX set aside for program rewards | Read on-chain; the contract never pays more than the funded reserve |
| Loyalty tiers | Daily (1 day), Monthly (30 days), Quarterly (90 days), Yearly (365 days) | Four fixed tier durations |
| Reward rates (indicative) | Daily around 8%, Monthly around 11%, Quarterly around 14%, Yearly around 20% | Read live from the contract; locked at the moment a member joins |
| Reference price | 0.4285 USD per SHIPEX | Constant on testnet; wired to a market source at mainnet |
| Attested fleet | 3 vessels, about $101.7M total | Proof of Reserve, IACS class-society attested |
The fleet, as shown in the app under Vessels, is:
The reward economics are deliberately conservative. Rewards accrue per position by the contract's own formula, from the member's own locked reward rate, from the last claim forward:
accrued = amount * lockedRate * elapsed / (10000 * 31536000)
Because rewards are paid from the funded reward reserve, the contract reverts with an explicit InsufficientRewardReserve error rather than paying out more than the reserve can cover. The tokens a member participates with are never at risk from this mechanism; they are released back to the member at tier completion. This reserve-funded, bounded design is the single most important idea the roadmap protects as the program scales.
Why this matters at all: the maritime industry carries more than 80% of world trade by sea, yet ordinary participants have almost never been able to take part in it. Industry estimates already place the on-chain real-world value market in the tens of billions of dollars, and maritime operators face real, dated pressures, the IMO Carbon Intensity Indicator, the EU Emissions Trading System now covering shipping, and FuelEU Maritime, that make transparent, verifiable on-chain records genuinely useful rather than cosmetic. SHIPEX is built to sit at that intersection.
SHIPEX is a maritime-technology team bringing the real maritime economy on-chain. The company operates the SHIPEX loyalty program and connects it to real, working vessels rather than to abstractions. The roadmap below is the company's own plan of record, so this section is concrete about who is building it and what stands behind it.
What SHIPEX is. SHIPEX pairs a maritime operation with an on-chain program. On one side sits a fleet of attested vessels doing real charter work in the global shipping market; on the other sits a transparent, non-custodial program that lets verified members participate with the $SHIPEX utility token and receive variable program rewards. The two sides are tied together on-chain through Proof of Reserve, so the digital program always maps to physical vessels a member can see in the app.
The fleet that stands behind the program. The founding fleet is three vessels with a combined attested value of about $101.7M, each anchored to its IMO number and attested by an IACS member class society:
These are not marketing figures. Each vessel is identifiable by its IMO number, its class society is a globally recognized IACS member, and the attested value feeds the on-chain Proof of Reserve that the program is measured against.
The team. The people building SHIPEX work across three disciplines that the model genuinely needs at once: maritime operations (the people who understand vessels, charters, class status, and the dated environmental rules that shape a ship's real-world value), finance operations (the people who manage the reward reserve, the reference pricing, and the reserve-funded accounting), and on-chain engineering (the people who write and maintain the non-custodial contracts, the identity gating, and the live on-chain reads the app depends on). Keeping all three disciplines in one team is what lets the roadmap couple real charter activity to an honest, bounded reward reserve instead of treating the two as separate stories.
Official channels. The single source of truth for the program is the website at shipextoken.com and the in-app experience it links to (Dashboard, Loyalty Program, Calculator, Portfolio, Vessels, Buy). Live figures for supply, reward rates, totals, and positions are always read from the program contract and shown in the app, never asserted by hand. Members should treat the official website and its linked community channels as the only authoritative sources, and should always verify contract addresses against what the app displays.
A reminder that governs everything here: $SHIPEX is a utility token used only to access the loyalty program and its benefits. It is not an investment, a security, or a financial product, it grants no ownership or financial rights, and program rewards are variable and never guaranteed. Members receive rewards from the on-chain reward reserve, and real charter activity from the fleet replenishes that reserve. Members do not receive a direct share of that charter activity, and $SHIPEX confers no redemption right and no claim on the vessels.
Status: Complete (100%) Stat line: BSC Testnet, 4 Tiers Live, Community
The Foundation phase put a working program on-chain and opened it to the first members. Everything in this phase is delivered and verifiable on testnet today.
Foundation locks in the two properties the rest of the roadmap depends on: rewards are bounded by a funded reserve, and the tokens a member participates with are always released at tier completion. Every later phase adds reach and depth on top of these invariants without changing them.
Status: In Progress (around 40%) Stat line: Mainnet Target, Exchange Listing, Fleet Expansion
Growth turns the tested foundation into a public, mainnet program and begins replenishing the reward reserve from real maritime activity rather than a pre-seeded balance. This phase is underway; the items below are the work in flight.
Growth is where the reward reserve stops being a static number and starts being connected to vessel activity, and where the reference price becomes a real market price. The 1,200,000 supply and the reserve-funded, InsufficientRewardReserve-bounded design carry over unchanged; what changes is that the reserve is replenished by the fleet rather than pre-seeded.
Status: Planned (0%) Stat line: Multi-chain, Institutional, Mobile Beta
Expansion widens the surface: more chains, deeper analytics, the first institutional members, and mobile. The program mechanics stay identical; the reach grows.
Expansion does not add new reward sources; it adds new places and new kinds of members participating in the same bounded reward reserve. The analytics work makes the reserve-aware reward math visible to members at a glance, which matters more, not less, as participation grows.
Status: Planned (0%) Stat line: 10+ Markets, Community Input, Global
Scale takes the program from a working multi-chain product to a globally available one, with enterprise integration and a full compliance framework for international reach.
Scale is the phase where the fleet base and the reserve are large enough that enterprise members and multiple markets can participate without stressing the bounded reward model. The whitepaper's compliance-first thesis, ERC-3643 gating plus Proof of Reserve, is what makes cross-jurisdiction expansion credible rather than aspirational.
Status: Planned (0%) Stat line: Reserve Depth, Proof of Reserve v2, Data
With 2026 focused on launch, mainnet, reach, and scale, 2027 focuses on depth and durability. Deepening is about making the reserve-funded model demonstrably robust at higher participation.
Deepening does not change the supply, the tiers, or the bounded reward model. It makes the connection between real maritime activity and the reward reserve legible and continuously attested, which is the credibility foundation for the larger fleet and network work that follows.
Status: Planned (0%) Stat line: Larger Fleet, More Classes, More Value
The Fleet phase grows the attested vessel base well beyond the founding three, broadening vessel types and class societies so the real-world value behind the program is larger and more diversified.
A larger, more diversified fleet means a larger, more resilient base of real maritime activity feeding the reward reserve, and more room for participation to grow without pressing against the bounded reward model. Growth here is deliberately coupled to attested value, not decoupled from it.
Status: Planned (0%) Stat line: Ecosystem, Operators, Standards
The Maritime Network phase moves SHIPEX from a single program to an ecosystem that other maritime operators and platforms can build on, while holding the same compliance and reserve-funded principles.
The network phase is where the program's principles, identity-gated access, Proof of Reserve, bounded reserve-funded rewards, become a shared foundation rather than a single-project feature. The economics scale by adding attested activity and eligible members, never by loosening the reward reserve ceiling.
Longer-range direction, intentionally described as vision rather than committed milestones:
None of this changes the core promise: $SHIPEX is a utility token used only to access the loyalty program and its benefits, rewards are variable and never guaranteed, and the tokens a member participates with are always released at tier completion.
The overall progress bar is computed, not asserted. It is the mean of every phase's progress value, and the caption counts completed phases out of the total. Adding the 2027 phases at 0% deliberately lowers the headline percentage, because an honest roadmap with a longer horizon should show more work remaining, not less. Delivered phases sit at 100%, the phase underway carries a live estimate, and planned phases stay at 0% until work begins.
Open the app, connect a BNB Smart Chain wallet, complete the one-time verification, and pick a loyalty tier. Rewards settle on-chain, and the tokens you participate with are released at tier completion. Live reward rates, totals, and positions always come from the program contract, shown in the app.
